HMSA’s QUEST Integration plan pays for venipuncture procedure codes 36415 and 36416 as a separate procedure. Previously, these codes were considered part of the reimbursement for the laboratory procedure if drawn by the lab or as part of the office visit fee if drawn in the physician’s office.
