Health Plans
HMSA offers a variety of quality health plans, including Preferred Provider Organization
(PPO) plans and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans, which are available
both through employers and direct to individuals.
There are many plans available through an employer, like our popular Preferred Provider
Plan and Health Plan Hawaii, but not all employers offer all possible plans to their
employees. Contact your employer to find out which plans are available to you.
If you’re looking for a health plan on your own, HMSA has PPO and HMO plans
for individuals who are not eligible for employer group coverage (or those who are
losing group coverage), sole proprietors, full-time students, and children.
HMSA also offers both medical and drug coverage for Medicare beneficiaries, as well
as coverage under the State’s QUEST program for eligible Hawaii residents.
