Mission: Nutrition

Mission: Nutrition is a fad-free way to eat, based on science and hard evidence. Your employees can attend Mission: Nutrition in the evening or on a weekend, at no additional cost to either of you. Encourage your employees to attend Mission: Nutrition.

Mission: Nutrition will take the urban myths out of healthy eating and provide your employees with practical tools for creating personal eating plans. They’ll learn ways to manage portion sizes, select healthy snacks, and achieve a balanced diet.

Each participant will be able to:

  • Determine the recommended number of servings from each of the food groups based on the Food Guide Pyramid.
  • Examine food labels and review nutrition information on food packages to identify healthy food choices.
  • Estimate portion sizes using both physical and visual cues.

Each class encourages subtle lifestyle changes and addresses challenges and barriers that may prevent employees from making healthier food choices. They’ll have the opportunity to learn through group activities and to discuss how class information applies to their everyday lives.
