HMSA’s go Walk@Lunch

Ready to walk?

HMSA will take part in the National Walk@Lunch Day to encourage people to take time during their lunch break to walk for better health.

This annual event is part of a national initiative by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association to increase public awareness of the importance of engaging in regular, healthy physical activity.

HMSA’s go Walk@Lunch will take place in Honolulu from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Tamarind Park at Bishop Square (corner of Bishop and S. King streets) on Wednesday, April 29. The event is free and open to the public.

The Hawaii Department of Health and other organizations will share lots of great information on the importance of regular exercise and a nutritious diet.

This event combines elements of two important HMSA campaigns – our go campaign, which promotes physical activity, and our eat healthy campaign, which encourages people to make smarter eating choices.

It’s time to get up, get out and get active! Registration is required. The deadline for registration is Friday, April 24. Call (808) 948-6056 on Oahu to register.
