go is HMSA’s campaign to promote increased physical activity for
better health. At any age or fitness level, HMSA encourages you to get up, get out and get active.
Physical activity doesn’t have to be serious, complicated or boring. You don’t need
a membership, strenuous workouts, special equipment, or a lot of time. Physical activity
means simply making your body move.
Your body is built to go! Everybody needs physical activity to be healthy,
yet most of us don’t get enough of it. Evidence shows that those who are not physically active are
definitely not helping their health, and are more likely hurting it. The good news is that anyone can
improve their health and well-being with regular physical activity.
Just 30 minutes of physical activity every day, even 10 minutes at a time, helps lower the
risk of developing the health problems most often associated with an inactive lifestyle and
can reduce the effects of current conditions.
