JDRF walk at Kapiolani Park HMSA presents donation to JDRF PetWalk

Each year, HMSA participates in a different charity walk to raise money to help others and encourage community members to get up, get out, and get active.

In November 2010, HMSA supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk for a Cure at Kapiolani Park. More than 100 HMSA employees, family, and friends participated in the walk to show their support. HMSA’s corporate giving program contributed $25,000 to the JDRF.

In October 2011, HMSA supported the Hawaiian Humane Society’s annual PetWalk at Magic Island. HMSA donated $10,000 to the Humane Society to help sponsor a dog visitation program for sick children and seniors. About 120 HMSA employees and their families and friends volunteered at or participated in the walk.
