The Honolulu Advertiser’s 2007 Best of the Best/Official People’s Choice Awards. HMSA received first place in the best health insurance category in The Honolulu Advertiser’s 2007 Best of the Best/Official People’s Choice Awards.

International Association of Business Communicators’ Ilima Award. Lucy Jokiel, editor of HMSA’s Island Scene magazine, won a 2007 Ilima Award from the International Association of Business Communicators in the feature article category. The article, “Peaman’s Passion,” details the inspiring story of a Big Island athlete.
